The Portland Timbers had it.

A signature goal. A signature save. A signature road win against one of MLS’s best clubs.

It was all shaping up as the best performance of the Phil Neville era — buoyed by a thunderous strike from Kamal Miller in the 39th minute to give Portland the lead, and a world-class save by James Pantemis in the 87th that appeared to secure it.
