Residents of central Pennsylvania should prepare for a muggy Wednesday night with periods of rain and potential heavy downpours. A warm, moisture-laden air mass will bring temperatures 15 to 20 degrees above normal, with overnight lows remaining in the 60s to 70s.

The National Weather Service forecasts widespread showers expanding from southwest to northeast through the evening and overnight hours.

While severe weather is not expected to be widespread, isolated thunderstorms may produce brief heavy rainfall, with precipitation amounts potentially reaching two inches in some areas.

After such a lengthy stretch of dry & sunny weather, how are we feeling about this rainy & cloudy weather pattern?

We've got about 24 hours left with rain/clouds before things brighten up again! #PAwx pic.
