ROCHESTER, Minn.- Rochester Community and Technical College debuted a new Dental Simulation Lab at the Heintz Center on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The facility was the result of several years worth of planning and cost around $1.57 million.
Some of the key features included 24 new simulation stations featuring A-Dec simulators which have mannequins with interchangeable mouth pieces for different types of teeth, tools for different types of cleanings along with air, suction and water, electronic medical record simulations and the ability to record student practice sessions so that instructors can play back student errors and correct them.
Michelle Pyfferoen, vice president of academic affairs, says the new facility is a great opportunity for students to get practice in an open learning environ
