Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek’s wife Kimberly has spoken out after the star’s heartbreaking appearance at the reunion for the hit TV show in New York.

The reunion was held at the Richard Rogers theatre in New York City on Monday, with a live reading of the show’s 1998 pilot episode in support of the charity organisation, F Cancer.

James, 48, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in August 2023. He was unable to attend the charity event as he’s battling two stomach viruses but he did pre-record a message that aired at the event.

Dawson’s Creek was a popular teen drama that began in 1998 and aired until 2003. The series is largely credited with launching the careers of actors James, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson.
