India captain Suryakumar Yadav is facing possible disciplinary action after the International Cricket Council (ICC) accepted a complaint filed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding his post-match comments following India’s win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup group stage on September 14.
According to a report by Dainik Jagran, ICC match referee Richie Richardson emailed the Indian team management confirming that two formal reports from the PCB were under review. After examining evidence and statements, Richardson concluded that Suryakumar’s remarks “potentially harmed the image of the sport” and warranted a charge for conduct that could bring the game into disrepute.
