My words on the death of truth in Tuesday’s column resulted in some very encouraging emails to my inbox from subscribers.

Thank you to those who took the time to write in your support of the people and their work in this newsroom. We have also received a number of letters to the editor that will appear on Sunday that defend what our journalists do every day.
