New Delhi: At a press conference from Houston, the four astronauts picked for the Artemis II mission revealed the name they had chosen for the Orion crew capsule that will ferry them to Moon orbit and back: Integrity. In a statement, NASA explained, “The name Integrity embodies the foundation of trust, respect, candor, and humility across the crew and the many engineers, technicians, scientists, planners, and dreamers required for mission success.” Over 300,000 individual components have been integrated into the spaceship, that includes the labour of thousands of people around the world. The Artemis II mission will be the first crewed flight in NASA’s ambitious Artemis programme to establish a sustained human presence on the surface of the Moon.
