“Joan of Arc,” the new 62-minute film by Hlynur Pálmason , has shared an official trailer with Variety as the film prepares for its world premiere tonight in San Sebastián Film Festival ’s Zabaltegi Tabakalera section.

The Icelandic director has emerged as a San Sebastián favorite, bringing several works, in various formats, to this year’s festival.

In “Joan of Arc,” three siblings craft a knight-like figure, only to unleash a barrage of arrows upon it. Through the seasons, we observe their lives as they both construct and demolish their lifelike creation.

It stars Pálmason’s three children – Ída Mekkín Hlynsdóttir, Grímur Hlynsson and Þorgils Hlynsson – who have appeared in several of his works including his most recent feature “The Love That Remains,” and the cult short film “Nest
