LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Our cold front has finally arrived and after a stormy last few days, we are seeing a few clouds, but drier weather to start our Thursday.

Outside of a few showers and storms early this morning along the coastline, we are beginning to dry things out with a northerly wind settling in.

Cloud cover this morning will transition to more sunshine as we head through the afternoon and that will help to boost temperatures into the middle to upper 80s.

If you have plans to be outdoors this evening or heading into the weekend, the weather looks to be perfect!

High pressure is settling in and that’s going to mean great news as we head into the weekend as sunshine will be abundant with some cooler mornings.

Morning lows will be cooler and while it will be more seasonable
