A mother has shared the horrifying moment she was told her daughter's growing pains were actually a sign of a rare form of blood cancer.

Madeleine Shipp, 28, shared how her daughter Aubrey, six, began complaining of leg pain back in January of this year.

Thinking it was growing pains or a pulled muscle due to doing the splits at school, Madeleine was not alarmed until her child later woke up covered in “spots” and vomited blood.

Aubrey was rushed to the Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, where the then-five-year-old was transferred to the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London when Madeleine was told the devastating news her little girl had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), a rare type of cancer which affects the blood and bone marrow.
