US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stepped onto an escalator at the UN when it instantly stopped working. Now, the White House has called for someone to be fired as staff comments emerge.

Mr Trump arrived at the UN headquarters in New York to give an address in front of world leaders. His arrival, according to The Times , is something that UN staff were not thrilled about.

“To mark Trump’s arrival, UN staff members have joked that they may turn off the escalators and elevators and simply tell him they ran out of money, so he has to walk up the stairs,” journalist Katy Balls reported on Sunday.

When the US President and the First Lady walked onto the escalator, they were forced to walk up the stairs when the escalator mysteriously stopped working.
