Arab Americans from across the U.S. are gathering in Dearborn this week for a convention that will feature some high-profile advocates as they strategize on how to protect their civil rights and advocate for their communities.

For the second year in a row, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is holding their national convention, called ArabCon, in Dearborn, the only Arab-majority city in the U.S. In previous years, ADC usually held their convention in the Washington D.C. area, but decided to hold it in Dearborn to better connect with people and also to help the city.
