LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - In an effort to increase voter registration, the region’s three public transit providers, CATA, EATRAN, and Clinton Transit, are offering system-wide free rides to support residents in registering to vote and casting their ballots in the upcoming November 4 general election.

Beginning September 25, free transportation will be available throughout Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties for individuals who need a ride to:

Register to vote

Drop off absentee ballots at official drop boxes

Participate in early voting

Vote on Election Day

To receive a free ride, passengers need to inform the driver that they are traveling for a voting-related purpose when they board.
