Former NCB chief and IRS officer, Sameer Wankhede has filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court against Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix and other parties involved in the making of The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. He has alleged the apparent parody of him in the web series is “false, malicious and defamatory”. He has asked for a permanent and mandatory injunction. Sameer Wankhede seeks financial compensation of Rs crore that he plans to donate to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital. He has said the portrayal of anti-drug agencies in the web series is offensive and destabilizes faith in such government bodies. Sameer Wankhede says the series was made to ruin his reputation.
