The high-flying Cleveland Guardians and a struggling Detroit Tigers meet again on Thursday in Game 3 of their crucial AL Central series. Cleveland has flipped the division race on its head with back-to-back wins, while Detroit is suddenly fighting to stay alive.

Despite David Fry’s brutal injury the night before, Cleveland beat Detroit 5-1 on Wednesday to grab first place. George Valera crushed a two-run homer, Jose Ramirez added a two-run double, and starter Tanner Bibee held the Tigers to just one run over six innings.

For Detroit, Jack Flaherty couldn’t keep Cleveland’s bats quiet, and the offense was once again flat. The Tigers managed only a sacrifice fly before being shut down the rest of the night.
