The dedicated detectives from "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" are back on the case for Season 27 .

Mariska Hargitay returns as Capt. Olivia Benson, the longest-running character in prime-time live-action show history, and Ice-T continues his record-setting run as Detective Fin Tutuola in the latest season of the NBC police drama, with a few bumps and bruises .

“We have so much fun, and I am so deeply invested, and I really look at it as a team,” Hargitay told “Access” ahead of Season 27. “That’s how I lead, I think, by keeping the team together and the team focused.”

When Does 'Law & Order: SVU' Return in 2025?

The 27th season kicks off at 9 p.m. ET on Sept. 25.

New episodes will air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC and stream on Peacock the following day.
