HOUSTON (KIAH) - For the first time in more than half a century, astronauts are preparing to leave Earth’s orbit and journey to the moon, and the crew leading the charge is already rewriting history. NASA introduced the four astronauts of Artemis II on Wednesday, the first crewed mission in the Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface and push exploration deeper into space.

Ried Wiseman, a Navy test pilot, will lead the mission. Joining him is Victor Glover, who will make history as the first Black astronaut to take part in a lunar mission.
