A footie fan has splashed out £5,000 to construct a six-seater stand in his back garden for him and his grandsons to cheer on their favourite team. ‌

Ian Nutter, 65, was inspired to build the terrace after spotting three of his eight grandsons perched precariously over his wooden back garden fence, straining to watch local team Barnoldswick Town play . ‌

The doting grandad from Barnoldswick, Lancs. , revealed there's a hefty "15 foot drop" behind the fence which is just metres from the pitch. ‌
