A Rhode Island sheriff is accused of recording a woman in a Starbucks restroom on the Johnson & Wales University campus in downtown Providence.

Jeffrey Cahoon, 34, of East Providence, was in district court Wednesday where he pled not guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, according to NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR . Cahoon was released on $1,000 bail and issued a no-trespass order for the Starbucks on Chestnut Street where the alleged incident occurred.

Providence police confirmed to WJAR that Cahoon is a sheriff in Rhode Island , while Rhode Island State Police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer confirmed that Cahoon is currently on paid administrative leave while the incident is under investigation.
