Netflix has just released the official trailer for A House of Dynamite , the highly anticipated political thriller from the Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow ( The Hurt Locker , Zero Dark Thirty ). The high-stakes story follows the U.S. government as they scramble to deal with a single nuclear missile launched at the city of Chicago by an unidentified foreign power .

Written by Noah Oppenheim, the film features a star-studded cast including Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Jared Harris, Gabriel Basso, and more . A House of Dynamite premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Lion. The film will see a limited theatrical release on October 10, before streaming globally on Netflix on October 24, 2025.
