AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 47-year-old man was found guilty this week in a double murder that happened last year.

Tony Brooks Horne was found guilty by a Richmond County jury on Wednesday, according to court filings.

The jury found Tony guilty of malice murder. He entered a guilty plea for two counts of felony murder, malice murder and two counts of possession of a firearm or knife during a crime.

In Nov. 2024, William Horne, 49, and Carol Horne, 52, were gunned down at their home in the 3000 block of Mystic Lane, located in the Butler Creek mobile home park.

According to arrest warrants, Tony, William’s brother, was arrested on the scene.

He lived in the home with the couple, according to arrest warrants.
