A helicopter landed on its side while attempting to transport a patient in Kittitas County.
The air ambulance was responding to a camper who was injured near Little Kachess Lake Tuesday night, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office reported .
Deputies responded after the camper was reported missing around 8 p.m. They searched the area and found the man who was suffering from a significant cut.
Medics were called to the scene and determined air transport was necessary.
Deputies developed a landing zone in a gravel parking area off I-90 near exit 62.
