PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - One Elkhorn City man was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in trafficking drugs.

Keith Long, 35, was indicted by a federal grand jury for intentionally possessing with the intent to distribute controlled substances containing meth and fentanyl.

Long was arrested for the incident in Aug. 2024 in Floyd County.

It started when deputies with the sheriff’s office were patrolling the Harold area of U.S. 23.

When police noticed that Long was pulling a pressure washer trailer on and off the roadway, that is when they decided to pull him over.

After Long told police he did not have a driver’s license, police searched his vehicle.

During that search, deputies said they found approximately 180 grams of a substance they thought was meth as well as 12 grams of
