The board of directors of the nonprofit Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation said Wednesday it has named Carly Cockerham as its executive director, effective immediately.
Cockerham had served as AARF's operations manager and senior leader for the past 15 months.
With more than five years of experience in animal welfare, AARF said Cockerham "brings a deep understanding of rescue operations, foster care coordination, veterinary services and adoption advocacy."
AARF, founded in 1995, focuses on adoptions of abandoned cats and dogs in the Forsyth County community, as well as medical services, foster care, community outreach and education.
