Markdale’s Sidney Sicard was named the first runner-up in the Ontario Queen of the Furrow competition at this year’s International Plowing Match in Niagara.

Fourteen women from across Ontario competed for the crown.

The new Ontario Queen of the Furrow is Victoria Kolb of Caledon, representing the Peel Dufferin Plowman’s Association.

Kolb was crowned by outgoing Ontario Queen of the Furrow, Taylor Legge of Bruce County, who won the honour at last year’s IPM in Lindsay.

Sicard, the representative for Grey Keppel Sarawak, was named a 4-H ambassador earlier this year.
