(WJW) - According to multiple reports, an Iowa woman has been found guilty of murdering her former romantic partner, who law enforcement said was found already dead in the backseat of a car after the suspect's vehicle crashed last summer.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office of Minnesota, in June 2024, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90, where a deceased individual was found in the backseat.

According to KSTP, two good Samaritans stopped to help and saw the deceased person. KSTP reports that, according to court documents, deputies found a body wrapped in bedding, a mattress, and a tarp, with the head visible.

According to MPR News, the suspect was at the scene of the crash, sitting in a lawn chair along the median of the interstate.
