Just when Arisu thought he had defeated all the deadly Face Card games and returned to regular life, in Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" Season 3, a new challenge is just beginning.

In the new season of the sci-fi thriller, the protagonist, Arisu, returns to the games after "Usagi is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife," according to Netflix.

In his journey, he connects with new players to overcome The Joker phase of the game "in a desperate bid to find a way back to their original world," the show's logline states.

When will 'Alice in Borderland' Season 3 be released?

Season 3 of the "Alice in Borderland" premiered on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 3:00 a.m. ET. All six episodes are currently on the streaming platform.

How many episodes are in Season 1 and 2?

For newbies, Season 1 and Season 2 are also available to binge-watch, and each season has eight episodes.

What happened at the end of Season 2?

At the end of Season 2, Arisu and Usagi accepted the offer to go back to the real world after overcoming manipulation from the Queen of Hearts, according to Netflix.

Arisu learns that a meteor struck parts of Tokyo, and later bumps into an injured Usagi by the hospital vending machine. Although they were an unstoppable duo in the games, neither of them has memories from their experience in the Borderlands.

However, they spark a brief conversation, with Arisu asking Usagi if they have met before. The two go for a walk outside before the episode ends with a close-up shot of a singular Joker card on a table, signaling that the games are far from over.
