William Shatner took to social media on Thursday to reassure fans about his health following reports that he had been hospitalized due to a medical emergency.

The actor posted a photo on Instagram of himself sporting a mustache, along with the caption: “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!”

“I over indulged,” he added. “I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!”

Shatner’s post comes hours after TMZ reported that he was rushed to the hospital late Wednesday afternoon due to a medical emergency. The actor’s agent, Harry Gold, told the news outlet that Shatner had experienced “an issue with his blood sugar” at his home in L.A.
