Another day of feeling like summer will remain for the area, as we’ll warm up to the upper 80s and lower 90s, with heat indices nearing 100°F, and some clouds passing by. Into the evening hours, a few passing showers and storms are possible, as lows fall in the lower 70s. We have one more hot day on Friday with a few showers and storms developing later in the afternoon and evening, interrupting some high school football games. While not everyone will see them, they could contain heavy downpours and gusty winds.

As for the weekend, the same rainmaker will stall along the coast and bring widespread showers and storms. If some areas do not see rain on Saturday, rain will be in the cards on Sunday. Highs will be upper 70s and lower 80s, still feeling muggy.
