KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City police are on the lookout for a suspect accused of taking off after hitting and killing a cyclist.
It happened on Wednesday, September 24, around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Independence and Hardesty Avenues in Kansas City, Missouri.
Crime scene analysis shows the bicyclist was traveling east on Independence Avenue when he drove into the intersection at Hardesty Avenue.
He changed lanes and entered the westbound lane.
At that point, a white pickup truck traveling westbound on Independence struck the bicyclist head-on, killing him on impact.
The pickup driver did not stop and is on the run.
