BOTHELL, Wash. — A Bothell woman who was reported missing in June has been found dead.

The remains of Mallory Barbour, 27, were found Sept. 15 on timber land in Mason County. Investigators with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office believe Barbour died of homicidal violence due to indications at the scene.

She was found nearly 90 miles away near state Route 3 and Pickering Road. Investigators believe Barbour’s remains were at the scene for an extended period of time.

“At this point, I’m still in shock, and therefore the tears are few,” said Barbour’s mother, Denise. “It’s just a matter of trying to get through every day and make sure that I’m doing something to find the person who actually harmed my daughter.”

Denise was the last known person to see Mallory alive on the evening of June 24,
