When Dan and Madeline Sommerman opted to remodel the lower level in their Cape Cod-style home, a multifunctional space was born that stretched the existing footprint. The couple gained a dedicated place to watch the Detroit Lions games, entertain and enjoy some quiet time.

Working with their longtime interior designer Michele Weston from Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design in Novi on the previously unfinished space, their latest collaboration features a more contemporary aesthetic than the rest of the eclectic home in Northville.
