JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Westbound traffic on the Newport Bridge was temporarily stopped Thursday afternoon because of a bus crash.

An ABC6 News crew in the area of the toll plaza on the Jamestown side of the bridge observed a RIPTA bus tipped on its side.

Traffic reopened in the area as of 2 p.m. Thursday.
