With the World Para Athletics Championships set to begin on Saturday, the Capital will witness some of the best in the business competing at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium:

Athanasios Ghavelas (Greece)- 100m T11

The fastest man in the T11 category, Athanasios Ghavelas is a two-time Paralympic champion and the World Champion from the 2023 edition. He will enter the competition with the aim of capturing his second world title after being disqualified from the 2024 final. The world record holder with a timing of 10.82s runs with a guide, a requirement for visually-impaired athletes.

Xiaoyan Wen (China)- 100m T37, 400m T37, Long Jump T37
