This week’s line for the Saints-Bills game is an eye-opener. The New Orleans Saints are 15½-point underdogs against the Buffalo Bills Sunday. It’s one of the largest point spreads in the history of the Saints franchise and the largest spread for an NFL game this season.

It’s particularly rare to see such a large line this early in the season. The last time it happened so early in an NFL season was two years ago. Mismatches usually occur later in the year, as injuries mount, motivation wanes and coaches are fired.
