BEAUMONT, Texas — The Humane Society of Southeast Texas is currently housing Winter , a 4-month-old puppy mix who is one of many pets available for adoption at the shelter. He's expected to grow into a large dog weighing approximately 70 pounds.

Winter, described as likely a "curve pit mix" based on his size, head shape, and markings, currently weighs 25 pounds and has been at the shelter since he was eight weeks old, according to Taylor Westphal of the Humane Society of Southeast Texas who appeared on Thursday with the pup on 12News Midday.
