NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Several Louisiana law enforcement agencies are currently experiencing outages where they are unable to receive emergency calls.

As of Thursday, Sept. 25, the New Orleans Police Department, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office report that all 911 and non-emergency lines going into the Central Dispatch, are down.

Deputies say this is a statewide issue as St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office report their 311 system is also down.

According to NOPD, the outage is the result of the cutting of a 9-1-1 fiber line.
