Police have initiated an investigation following the discovery of two deceased individuals at a residence in Camelford, Cornwall. The bodies of a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were found at approximately 10pm on Wednesday, September 24. Emergency services responded to the property after concerns were raised regarding the welfare of the two individuals.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel pronounced both individuals dead at the scene. It has been confirmed that the man and woman were known to each other, and their next of kin have been notified.

Detective Inspector Peter Gee stated, "We are supporting the next of kin of the people who have died in this very sad incident. Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what has happened, but we are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter."

A cordon has been established around the property on Treclago View as police conduct a thorough examination of the scene. Authorities have indicated that there will be an increased police presence in the area, encouraging residents to approach officers with any concerns.

A police spokesperson added, "Detectives have launched an investigation into the deaths of a man and a woman at an address in Camelford.
