Boulder County Parks and Open Space is hosting a vintage baseball game and Autumn Heritage Day from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Walker Ranch Homestead, 7701 Flagstaff Road.

For the baseball game, played by 19th-century rules, the local Walker Ranchers face off against the Colorado Vintage Base Ball Association. Along with the baseball game, costumed volunteers will share historic games, chores and stories of ranch life. There also will be guided tours and activities, including blacksmith demonstrations, log house cooking, shingle making and historic fence building.

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and blanket, as there are no tables at the homestead. Bikes and pets are not allowed. To sign up to be notified in case the event is unexpectedly canceled, go to bit.ly/3VxUxTt.
