GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Michigan congresswoman announced Thursday she would file articles of impeachment against U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Birmingham Democrat Haley Stevens, representing the state's 11th Congressional District northwest of Detroit, argued that Kennedy has violated his oath of office and "proven himself unfit to serve the American people."

“RFK Jr. is making our country less safe and making healthcare less affordable and accessible for Michiganders," Stevens said in a statement announcing her intention. "His contempt for science, the constant spreading of conspiracy theories, and his complete disregard for the thousands of research hours spent by America’s top doctors and experts is unprecedented, reckless, and dangerous."
