Edinburgh locals were treated to incredible views as two huge cruise ships returned to the Forth this week.

Footage shared on social media, shows the Queen Mary II on the Forth before the cruise left the capital. On Thursday, the Regal Princess also passed through leaving locals awestruck.

Many people were able to spot the cruises with the sight being described as "amazing".

One person said: "Thank you soooo much, what a braw sicht."

Another wrote: "It was amazing".

A statement from Forth Bridges said volunteers were in attendance to welcome the passengers and crews over the two days.

They said: On Wed 24th September, the Queen Mary II returns and on Thursday 25th September, the Regal Princess makes her penultimate visit for the season.
