The Michigan State hockey team has won the last two Big Ten championships. The league's coaches are picking the Spartans to make it three in a row.

MSU was the preseason pick to win the title, followed in order by Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Notre Dame, the league announced on Thursday, Sept. 25.

That news came a few hours after the Spartans, who are ranked in the top three in the nation in the preseason polls, held their media day at Munn Ice Arena.
