MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Two people are facing charges in Muhlenberg County after being accused of assaulting a fellow student at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center.

According to a Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department citation, the assault happened on Tuesday.

The citation says Jayden Pruitt and Kadrian Hostetler assaulted a 17-year-old victim at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center's cafeteria entrance with a "strap-like object."

Authorities say the victim was hit multiple times across his back and arms, and that his injuries were photographed by a witness.

The citation says the suspects admitted to striking the victim, but claimed it was "horseplay."

Pruitt and Hostetler were both booked into the Muhlenberg County Jail, and are charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
