DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Authorities have identified two people who died in a fiery crash in Daviess County back on September 4.

The crash happened on the US 60 Bypass. Authorities said two people in a car crossed the center median, striking a truck head-on.

Two Killed in a Head-On Collision on US 60 Bypass

As crews work on the scene, westbound US 60 Bypass traffic is being detoured onto Hwy 54.

We're told both people in the car were killed on impact, and that the vehicle was engulfed in flames, making it difficult for authorities to quickly identify them.

Through the use of dental records, authorities say they've now identified the driver of that car as 18-year-old Charles Dosch of Maceo. His passenger was identified as 43-year-old Brian Deaton of Shelbyville.
