The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating Giovanna Melendez, 34, who was last seen Wednesday night leaving 11201 Iowa Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Melendez, who is 5-foot-4 and weighs 185 pounds, was wearing a black shirt and black-and-white shorts.

She has schizophrenia and requires medication, and her family says she cannot care for herself without assistance.
