HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in southwest Houston on Thursday, according to law enforcement.

The Houston Police Department said officers were dispatched to a home at 1:30 p.m. on Broadhurst Drive.

Authorities believe that about five people were inside the home, where an argument between two men led to a deadly stabbing.

Upon arrival, police said they found the man dead at the scene. HPD said a suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested close to Almeda Elementary, which is near the scene, after an HISD officer saw him.

Details are limited to what led up to the argument. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is unclear.
