The National Weather Service has reported a tornado may have touched down near Sullivan and Delaware counties on Thursday, Sept. 25.

In a Facebook post , the weather agency stated a tornado warning was issued just after noon, and debris signatures were detected in the suspected area of a tornado.

National Weather Service graphics show the most likely area for a tornado to be surrounding the hamlet of Livingston Manor in Sullivan County.

Additionally, the National Weather Service said it has received reports of weather-related damage in the area, "but we have yet to get ground truth (via pictures, personal accounts, videos) of a tornado."
