RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - There’s a big push to help alleviate congestion along a stretch of Meadowville Road in Chesterfield County.
Thursday, Governor Glenn Youngkin and State Delegate Carrie Coyner announced they’re asking the Commonwealth Transportation Board to approve $25 million for changes to the stretch of road.
“We need great transportation and getting this bridge widened is a critical part of making sure that Chesterfield County continues to be the economic engine that it is,” said Gov. Glenn Youngkin, (R) Virginia.
The governor saying that the improvements to the Meadowville Road Bridge over I-295 need to be fast-tracked to serve the safety and economic growth needs of the area.
