BATAVIA — City police describe a chaotic sequence of events as arrests unfolded during last Friday's homecoming game at VanDetta stadium.

The arrests involved mostly adults as officers tried to investigate what was originally reported as an assault complaint. Details had remained few until Thursday afternoon.
