René Paredes won’t be around when Canadian Football League kickers take a boot to the pride in 2027.
The Calgary Stampeders veteran has already said he’ll retire once his current two-year contract expires ahead of the massive CFL rule changes for players at his position kick into play.
But what’s he saying today about the contentious news to move the goal-posts to the back of the endzone?
“I feel bad for the kickers,” said Paredes, ahead of Friday’s game between the Stampeders (8-5) and the host Montreal Alouettes (7-7) at Percival Molson Stadium (5 p.m., TSN, CHQR 770 AM/107.3 FM the Edge).
